Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again and Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 won’t be competing at the box office on Independence Day. However, this does not mean that a major conflict at the box office has been avoided. Now, on August 15, Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2 will be released, going up against Pushpa 2’s sequel.
Two films have had their release dates rearranged; the announcement was made on Friday.
The Movie Release

Ajay said on social media that Singham Again has been rescheduled and will not be released on August 15 as originally scheduled.
The movie, which stars Ajay, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, and Kareena Kapoor Khan among its ensemble cast, is now slated for release sometime around Diwali this year.
Jio Studios, the production brand behind Singham Again, has not abandoned the festive box office position. For the weekend of Independence Day, it has established a second title based on the flag.

Stree 2, a horror comedy by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan, will now be released on August 15. Amar Kaushik is directing the Stree sequel, which will have actors Rajkummar and Shraddha reprising their roles.
Movies To Clash This Year
Following the rearranging of the release dates, Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 and Stree 2 will now square off. Additionally, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 by Kartik Aaryan and Singham will square off.

There have been a lot of rumours since the beginning of the week suggesting that Pushpa 2 may also be delayed. However, there has been no formal statement from the movie’s producers.
Trade expert Taran Adarsh confirmed the news of the clashes on X, writing, “GET READY FOR THE CLASHES… #IndependenceDay: #Stree2, #KhelKhelMein and #Vedaa… #Diwali: #SinghamAgain and #BhoolBhulaiyaa3”.
Nonetheless, there are some questions about Pushpa 2’s exclusion from the list.
Movies To Be Released
Sukumar is the director of Pushpa 2: The Rule, which stars Allu, Rashmika Mandana, and Fahadh in the respective roles of Pushpa Raj, Srivalli, and Bhanwar Singh Shekawat. The movie is a follow-up to Pushpa: The Rise, released in 2021.
In the meantime, Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again will revive the world of cops. It is a follow-up to Singham Returns (2014) and the fifth entry in the series. In September 2017, Singham 3, the film’s working title, was revealed.
The 2018 release of Stree 2, the sequel to Stree, was met with overwhelming critical praise and commercial success. The soundtrack to the movie also became quite popular, with songs like Aao Kabhi Haveli Pe and Milegi Milegi reaching the top of the charts. Stree 2, which is produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, is a part of the horror-comedy universe that also features the films Stree, Roohi, and Bhediya.
2024 – An Year Of Sequels
2024 has been set out for franchise films; the most recent of these is Raid 2, which stars Vaani Kapoor and Ajay Devgn. Next is Bhool Bhulaiayaa 3, starring Kartik Aaryan, and Welcome To The Jungle, which has a large cast that includes Raveena Tandon, Akshay Kumar, and others.

Sequels and prequels do, in fact, work. The director of BB3, Anees Bazmee, remarks, “Popularity of franchises is not something that comes easily or quickly. The makers of the film believe that more people will go see it because it is a goodwill and romantic film. It’s difficult and crucial to keep people’s curiosity about films alive in today’s world. But the issue with franchises is that viewers enter with high expectations that the picture will live up to the first one. The creators always face a difficulty.
