Yash’s Toxic release date postponed amidst the Middle East geopolitical situation

The makers of Yash’s much-anticipated film, Toxic, have decided to postpone the film by three months.

Yash’s Toxic, which has an ensemble cast, was supposed to get released on March 19 in theatres and would have also clashed with Aditya Dhar’sDhurandhar 2 at the box office. However, the latest reports say that Toxic has been postponed by 3 months amid the ongoing geopolitical situation in the Middle East.

Toxic’s makers postpone release by three months.

The makers of Toxic have decided to postpone the film by three months. Initially, it was slated for release on March 19, but it will now release on June 4, 2026. This decision had to be taken by the makers, keeping in mind the ongoing US-Iran conflict, affecting the whole of the Middle East. Hence, the makers of the film made the decision to postpone the release and also posted a note about the same on social media.

Makers’ note on Toxic release date postponed.

On March 4, Yash, the actor-producer of the film, shared a statement from the makers announcing a new release date. The statement read, “Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups is a film we conceptualized with the vision to create cinema for a global audience. Filmed in Kannada and English, it is built with the conviction that it will connect with viewers both at home and across the world. After years of dedicated labour, we were excited to share our film with you all on the 19th of March. However, the current uncertainty, especially in the Middle East, has created a situation that impacts our goal to reach and connect with the widest possible audience.”

The statement added that the makers have postponed the film’s release until June 2026, in the hope that the situation in the Middle East returns to normal by then. The note added, “Therefore, in the interest of our partners and our audience, we have made the difficult but carefully considered decision to reschedule our release. We thank you for your understanding and patience and look forward to your continued love and support.” The statement ended with a new release date. “Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups will now be released in cinemas across the globe in English and Indian languages on 4th June 2026,” it read. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Yash’s Toxic also stars Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, RukminiVasanth, and Tara Sutaria in lead roles.
