Dhurandhar 2’s Telugu and Tamil preview gets cancelled at the last minute

Netizens are outraged after the preview shows of Dhurandhar 2 in Telugu and Tamil were cancelled, leaving them disappointed.

Dhurandhar 2 is all set for worldwide release on March 19, 2026. The Aditya Dhar-directed film also had paid previews scheduled on March 18. However, the Telugu and Tamil preview shows were called off at the last minute, leaving fans disappointed.

After months of anticipation, Dhurandhar: The Revenge was set to release its paid previews today, March 18, ahead of its worldwide release tomorrow. Positioned as a pan-India film, the sequel was scheduled to release in Hindi, with dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. It stars Ranveer Singh as the Indian spy Jaskirat Singh Rangi, and in the second part, the story follows the rise of his character, mob boss Hamza Ali Manzari, after the death of RehmanDakait, played by Akshaye Khanna.

Technical delays forced the cancellation of preview shows in Telugu and Tamil.

Several theatres were forced to cancel their scheduled 5 pm premier shows in Telugu and Tamil. Reports suggest that delays in delivering the Telugu and Tamil versions, along with last-minute technical glitches, led to the abrupt cancellations. On X, Broadway Cinemas confirmed that the Tamil preview shows were cancelled due to the unavailability of the content. The theatre stated that Hindi previews would proceed instead, adding that refunds would be issued to affected viewers. Similar disruptions were reported across parts of Tamil Nadu and the Telugu-speaking regions.

Since the cancellations of these shows, fans have been expressing disappointment on social media.
