SoorajBarjatya to return as director with ‘YehPremMolLiya’

The film stars AyushmannKhurrana and Sharvari and will hit theatres on November 27 this year.

Filmmaker SoorajBarjatya, known for cult classics like Hum AapkeHainKoun, Hum SaathSaathHain, Vivah, and his 2022 film Uunchai, is returning as a director after four years. He will be directing the film ‘YehPremMolLiya.’ The makers made the announcement for the same, starring AyushmannKhurrana and Sharvari.

Sharing a statement on social media, Rajshri Productions wrote, “We Have An Announcement!! This November, Rajshri Productions Ltd., in association with Mahaveer Jain Films, brings to the BIG screen a family entertainer directed by Sooraj R. Barjatya titled ‘YehPremMolLiya’ starring AyushmannKhurrana and Sharvari, a HimeshReshammiya musical. In theatres 27th November 2026 – Save the date.” The film will mark director SoorajBarjatya’s comeback as a director after a gap of four years. Sooraj, who won the National Award for Best Director for “Uunchai,” reunites with composer HimeshReshammiya on the project. The two last collaborated on PremRatanDhanPayo in 2014.

The film is positioned as a wholesome family entertainer at a time when mainstream Hindi theatrical cinema has been largely driven by action, horror and historical epics. YehPremMolLiya will also see the fresh pairing of Ayushmann and Sharvari. Ayushmann has a packed slate ahead of “YehPremMolLiya.” His next release is the family comedy “PatiPatniAurWoh Do”, directed by Mudassar Aziz. The film is slated to hit cinemas on May 15. On the other hand, Sharvari is equally busy with multiple projects. She stars in Imtiaz Ali’s “Main VaapasAaunga” alongside DiljitDosanjh and Vedang Raina. It is set to release in theatres on June 12. She will also be starring in YRF Films’ Alpha with Alia Bhatt, directed by Shiv Rawail. It will release in theatres on July 10.
