The actress arrived for interviews at the Cannes Film Festival wearing a strapless gown and a feathered cape, looking as gorgeous as ever.

Time and again, every year at the Cannes Film Festival, AishwaryaRaiBachchan is one star who has never ceased to amaze her fans with each of her stunning looks. This year too, she turned heads with every look she adorned. While attending interviews at the prestigious film festival, the global star wore a strapless gown and a feathered cape, proving she will always remain the OG Cannes Queen.

AishwaryaRai stuns in a dreamy feathered outfit at Cannes 2026.

Aishwarya’s outfit, designed by FjollaNila, featured a strapless pastel evening gown embellished with intricate silver and crystal detailing. The gown hugged her frame with a fitted bodice, then flowed softly into a floor-length silhouette, creating a graceful, ethereal effect. But it was the dramatic feathered cape layered over the gown that truly elevated the look. The voluminous cape added movement and theatrical elegance, making her appearance feel effortlessly cinematic. Keeping the styling refined, the actor chose minimalism, wearing delicate diamond rings and matching earrings instead. She wore her burgundy-toned hair in soft, loose waves cascading over her shoulders, while her makeup focused on highlighting her eyes with subtle nude lips, balancing the overall look beautifully.

A look back at her iconic Cannes debut.

Aishwarya’s relationship with Cannes dates back to 2002, when she made her first-ever red carpet appearance for Devdas alongside Shah Rukh Khan and director Sanjay LeelaBhansali. Their arrival in a traditional horse-drawn carriage remains one of the most memorable moments in the history of Cannes for Indian cinema. For that debut appearance, Aishwarya wore a striking yellow-gold saree designed by Neeta Lulla. The saree, paired with traditional gold jewellery, beautifully reflected Indian culture on an international stage. Years later, Neeta Lulla revealed that the outfit was specially designed to capture the essence of Paro, Aishwarya’s character in Devdas. Inspired by fabrics used in the film, the designer chose Banarasi net with intricate antique zardozi embroidery and gold detailing to create a regal yet rooted look.

Over the years, Aishwarya has experimented with bold silhouettes, dramatic gowns, classic Indian wear, and couture creations at Cannes. Yet, what makes her appearances special is not just the fashion, but the confidence and grace she carries with every look.
