The controversy started when a screen recording allegedly showed an Instagram Story posted by the actress started doing the rounds on social media.

Nushrratt clarifies the matter.
Addressing the controversy, Nushrratt reposted a clarification on social media, explaining the circumstances surrounding the audio. In her statement, she revealed that she had been watching the IPL final at a friend’s house when their young puppy was making crying sounds in the background. “Reposting again, coz I wanna know what’s the big bawaal about my pup making sounds,” she wrote, dismissing the speculation surrounding the clip. To support her explanation, the actress also shared another video recorded from a different angle at the same time, claiming it clearly captured the puppy’s noises that were allegedly misinterpreted by viewers.
NushrrattBharuccha has further alleged that a fake clarification had been circulated in her name on social media, prompting her to issue a fresh statement.
