ZEE5 unveils multilingual panels to connect fans nationwide
With the FIFA World Cup 2026 about to kick off, Indian audiences will enjoy a broadcast tailored to the country’s diverse football culture. ZEE5, the official broadcaster, has announced a star-studded commentary and analysis team that will deliver coverage in English, Hindi, Bangla, and Malayalam.
The English panel brings together former India coach Igor Stimac, national legend Bhaichung Bhutia, analyst Paul Masefield, ex-Bengaluru FC coach Ashley Westwood, and presenter Seema Jaswal. Their combined expertise promises sharp tactical insights and engaging discussions.
For Hindi-speaking audiences, the line-up is equally compelling. Current India captain and goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu will be joined by former internationals Aditi Chauhan and Mehrajuddin Wadoo, with support from experienced broadcasters. Adding further depth, former striker Robin Singh and football analyst Karan Sawhney will contribute across both Hindi and English feeds.
The Bangla panel features ex-India captain Arnab Mondal, former goalkeeper Rajat Ghosh-Dastidar, and footballer Debjit Ghosh, alongside journalists Pallab Basu-Mallick and Argha. In Kerala, the Malayalam coverage will be led by iconic forward I.M. Vijayan, joined by commentator Shyju Damodaran, broadcaster Jo Paul, and former international N.P. Pradeep.
This star-studded list of football icons reflects India’s enduring passion for football. By blending national stars with regional voices, ZEE5 aims to create a broadcast that resonates with fans across languages and backgrounds.
