Tom Cruise hails the football icon’s journey as a true Hollywood Story.

David Beckham, one of football’s most celebrated personalities, has added another milestone to his illustrious career by receiving the 2,849th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The ceremony, held in Los Angeles, was attended by his wife, Victoria Beckham, and their children, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper. While his eldest son, Brooklyn, and daughter-in-law, Nicola Peltz, were absent, the event drew notable guests, including former footballer Robbie Keane and actor Tom Cruise, who delivered a heartfelt tribute.

Tom Cruise, a close friend of Beckham, described his journey as nothing short of a “Hollywood story.” “For all the records and recognition, what impresses me most is that success never changed who he is. The same values that brought him here are the ones he lives by today,” Cruise said, underscoring Beckham’s humility and character.

Cruise also praised the role of his wife and family in supporting his career and building a meaningful life beyond the pitch. “Together, they have raised incredible children and created a life as remarkable as the career we celebrate today,” Cruise added, calling Beckham’s legacy one that transcends trophies and statistics.

Beckham, expressing his gratitude, opined that “Every achievement has been built on dedication and belief,” he said, reflecting on the foundation of his success.

The honour comes at a time when Beckham remains active in global football initiatives, including campaigns tied to the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026. Just weeks earlier, he and his son Cruz were spotted meeting actor Steve Carell during a promotional shoot linked to the tournament.
