The veteran actor and politician Mithun Chakraborty is hospitalized in Kolkata.

Mithun Chakraborty is one of the most iconic stars in Indian cinema, with a career straddling more than five decades. He made his acting debut with Mrigayaa (1976), a performance that earned him the National Film Award for Best Actor.

According to the news, the famous actor Mithun Chakraborty underwent minor surgery at a private hospital in Kolkata. His health is now stable, and he is recovering well.

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari also visited the actor at the hospital on Friday and shared details of their meeting on social media, saying he was in good health and recovering.

The actor’s health is now stable, with no issues, and he is expected to be discharged soon.

Adhikari met Mithun Chakraborty at the Kolkata hospital and also spoke with the medical team overseeing his treatment.

While sharing the update on social media on Facebook, Adhikari penned, “Renowned film actor and one of the members of the Central Committee of BJP, Mithun Chakraborty, is admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata due to physical illness. I went to the hospital to see him today. I spoke to him and took information about his physical condition and recovery stage. I pray to the merciful God for his quick recovery.”

The pictures posted by the Chief Minister quickly circulated on social media, prompting concern among the actor’s massive fan base and his loved ones.

He underwent the surgery on Thursday night. It was a minor surgical procedure undertaken in a private hospital in Kolkata. In this regard, Adhikari revealed that Mithun Chakraborty had chosen not to publicize his hospitalization.
