WhatsApp is working on a new feature to enable users to create AI-generated photos of themselves.

Every other day comes with a new headline regarding new tech developments and advancements across social media platforms. WhatsApp is one among them that has consistently offered new features. This time, it will reportedly offer a new feature called “Imagine Me.”

A new feature of WhatsApp is “Imagine Me.”

According to reports, WhatsApp is developing a new feature called “Imagine Me,” which will enable users to create AI-generated photos of themselves. The functionality also recently appeared in the beta version of the social app.

Meta AI can generate AI pictures.

According to a report by WABetaInfo, the new Meta AI-powered feature is currently under development. A leaked screenshot indicates that users will be required to upload pictures when they choose the optional feature. After users feed in enough images, they will be able to ask Meta AI to generate an AI picture of themselves by typing “Imagine Me,” and engaging with the recently launched Meta AI chatbot.

Users need to manually opt-in to use the new feature.

The report also shares that users will be able to use the functionality when talking to others using the Meta AI Imagine Me command. Since this is an opt-in functionality, users will have to manually opt-in to use the “Imagine Me” feature.

Users will have complete control over the new feature, with the ability to delete all their setup photos at any time from the Meta AI settings. Additionally, WhatsApp is reportedly working on a feature that will allow users to switch between Llama 3-405B and the more powerful Llama 3-70B.
