A tragic incident ensued in Bengaluru during the victory celebrations of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). The enormous number of people thronging outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium resulted in a stampede, which killed 11 and injured 33. The incident happened moments before the IPL victory parade of RCB. An X user shared an emotional post on the same, which has now gone viral on the internet.

Several social media users reacted to the tragic Bengaluru stampede. Among them, X user @MNVGowda revealed that his fiancée had been inside the stadium at the time, completely unaware of the chaos outside. He wrote, “My fiancée was inside the stadium when the stampede happened. She said she had no idea what was going on outside and only found out after coming out. I can’t imagine how Kohli and the team must have felt upon hearing this heartbreaking news. I’m feeling really low right now.”

RCN squad had arrived at HAL Airport aboard a special flight. They were felicitated at Vidhana Soudha in the presence of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah before heading to the stadium for the much-anticipated open-top bus parade. In anticipation, thousands of fans gathered around both Vidhana Soudha and Chinnaswamy Stadium. On Wednesday evening, joy turned into tragedy when a stampede unfolded outside the stadium ahead of RCB’s IPL victory parade.

As per reports, 11 people have died, and 33 have been injured due to the stampede. RCB has expressed grief and, in an official statement, has announced financial aid for the families of the deceased.
