The actor was mobbed by fans on stage during the O Romeo song launch event and was forced to exit the stage.

On Friday, Shahid Kapoor attended his latest song ‘Paan Ki Dukaan’ launch event from his upcoming film O Romeo in Mumbai. The actor even invited a few fans on stage to dance with him on the new song. However, soon the fans mobbed him, which led Shahid to exit the stage briefly.

Actors Shahid Kapoor and TriptiiDimri have been busy promoting their film O Romeo, which hits theatres on February 13. However, at one such event in Mumbai on Friday, things turned chaotic when fans mobbed Shahid on stage. The situation quickly spiralled out of control, forcing the actor to exit the stage before security could step in and manage the crowd.

The Paan Ki Dukaan launch event also drew media and fans. While interacting with the audience, Shahid invited a few fans on stage to shake a leg with him on the new song, but the moment quickly turned chaotic as several fans jumped on the stage, surrounding and mobbing the actor. Following the commotion, Shahid briefly exited the stage as security personnel stepped in to control the situation. He returned shortly after, once the crowd had been cleared from the stage and order was restored at the venue. Several videos of the moment have surfaced on social media. After the situation was brought under control, the event resumed as planned. Shahid then returned to the stage and went on to dance, much to the delight of the audience. Towards the end of the event, he thanked his fans for turning up in huge numbers and said, “Thank you guys. You have been amazing.”

O Romeo, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, will release in theatres on February 13 and stars Shahid Kapoor, TriptiiDimri, Nana Patekar, AvinashTiwary, Tamannaah Bhatia, DishaPatani, Farida Jalal and Vikrant Massey.
