A shocking post has been trending on social media platforms, which has stunned everyone. A 20-year-old woman suddenly disappeared from her home in the Auraiya district in Uttar Pradesh. This has set off a swirl of superstition and speculation even as police intensify efforts to track the woman. The woman’s mother was stunned when she saw a snake skin on her daughter’s bed.

The incident occurred in Singanpur village in Uttar Pradesh, where the 20-year-old woman went to bed in her room as usual on Sunday night. By Monday morning, she had disappeared. When her mother entered the room to wake her up, she found the bed empty. However, what stunned the family was something left behind, the woman’s clothes and jewellery, neatly placed on the bed, alongside what appeared to be a 5-foot-long snake skin. The post about his bizarre news was shared on X. It was captioned, “Mystery in UP’s Auraiya: 20-yr-old woman vanishes from bed overnight, leaving clothes, jewellery – and a 5-ft snake skin. Rumours of ‘ichchadharinaagin’ have started doing the rounds. Police dismiss as a distraction & launch a search.”

Family urges police for quick action.
The family said, “We are shattered. We just want our daughter to return home safely,” urging authorities to take swift action. Rumours quickly started spreading in the village with some claiming the woman had turned into an “ichchadharinaagin, a mythical shape-shifting serpent from Indian folklore. Fueling the speculation further was the presence of a snake burrow in the floor of her room. Family members admitted that snakes had occasionally been spotted in the house in the past.
However, dismissing the supernatural claims, Circle Officer Manoj Gangwar appealed to villagers not to believe in rumours. He said, “There is no truth to the theory that the woman turned into a snake. These are baseless claims. The snake skin and the clothes found at the scene may have been placed deliberately to mislead investigators or divert attention.”
