The boy was killed near a school outside Dharmanpurvillage, and his body was stuffed in a sack.

A shocking incident took place in Uttar Pradesh, where a couple found their nephew in an “objectionable condition” with a girl from their family and so allegedly killed him. The police have now arrested the man and his wife for allegedly strangling their 22-year-old visiting nephew to death, said the officials on Friday.

The accused confessed to the crime.

Durga Prasad Tiwari, Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural), said that the police investigation, involving analysing CCTV footage, mobile records, call details, witness statements and circumstantial evidence, pointed toward Chetram and his wife, Sundari Devi, as the perpetrators. The officer stated, “The couple allegedly took this step after finding Bhanu in an ‘objectionable condition’ with a young girl from their family.” He added, “During interrogation, the accused (couple) confessed to the crime, admitting they stuffed Bhanu’s body in a sack, tied a rope around his neck to mislead investigators, and disposed it off near a government school. They carried the body on a motorcycle.”

Police arrest the couple who allegedly killed their nephew.

The body of the 22-year-old deceased, Bhanu Pratap alias Sudhir, was found on March 29 near a school outside Dharmanpur village in a sack with a rope tied around his neck. The ASP told reporters on Friday that Sudhir was a resident of Aurahi village in the district and was visiting his maternal uncle, Chetram Gautam, in Dharmanpur, where the alleged murder happened. Sudhir’s father has accused Chetram and his family of the alleged murder, said the ASP. The police have conducted a thorough investigation and arrested the couple, subsequently sending them to jail.

ASP Tiwari also stated that a post-mortem examination was conducted.
