In recent times, there has been news of actors getting abducted. A certain gang has been behind this. The police revealed that the gang was involved in abducting film stars by sending advance payments and air tickets under the guise of event invitations.
Police arrest four members of the gang.
Uttar Pradesh police have arrested four members of a gang for kidnapping actor Mushtaq Mohammad Khan from the Delhi airport, holding him hostage in Bijnor district of the state and demanding ransom. According to the police, the miscreants had also plotted to kidnap actor Shakti Kapoor on the pretext of inviting him to an event but called off the plan later. The arrested gang members are Sarthak Chaudhary, Sabiuddin, Azim, and Shashank. Police have also recovered ₹1.04 lakh from their possession.
Shakti Kapoor was offered ₹5 lakh for an event.
Police revealed that the gang was involved in abducting film stars by sending advance payments and air tickets under the guise of event invitations. Reportedly, Shakti Kapoor was offered ₹5 lakh to attend a similar event, but the deal fell through due to high advance requests. Investigations are being conducted into the matter, and efforts are being made to track down the remaining gang members.
Actor Mushtaq Khan’s event manager, Shivam Yadav, filed a complaint on December 9, when the actor went missing. As per the complaint, on October 15, Lavi alias Rahul Saini sent an advance payment of ₹25,000 and an air ticket to invite Khan to an event in Meerut. On arrival at the Delhi airport on November 20, the actor was received by a cab driver, who took him to a famous “shikanji” shop between Meerut and Delhi. He was then forced into another vehicle, where more individuals joined him.
