Gulbadin Naib, an Afghan cricket player, seemingly made a quick recovery from his “injury” during the Afghanistan-Bangladesh match. He was seen celebrating their win on the team bus on Tuesday.

Afghanistan all-rounder Gulbadin Naib was reported to have suffered an “injury;” however, on Tuesday, he seemed to have made a quick recovery when he was seen celebrating Afghanistan’s win against Bangladesh on the team bus, dancing to Dwayne Bravo’s song “Champion.”

Naib apparently got a “hamstring injury” during the Bangladesh game, but later, he participated in Afghanistan’s team bus celebrations on Tuesday, June 25. Afghanistan made it to the semis of a major ICC event by winning over Bangladesh in St. Vincent. However, there was a controversial moment involving Naib, who, just moments before the second rain break during the game, held on to his hamstring and fell on the ground just after coach Jonathan Trott signalled to the team to slow things down.

Naib made a quick recovery after winning against Bangladesh.

He was helped off the field after getting a “hamstring injury.” He seemed to have recovered quickly as he returned to the field after the game resumed, bowled the 15th over, and picked up a wicket. The commentators didn’t appreciate this move from Naib, calling it “unacceptable.”

Mohammad Nabi then shared a video of the team celebrating their win and reaching the semi-finals, where Naib was seen dancing at the center to Dwayne Bravo’s “Champion.” Bravo, a bowling consultant for the Afghanistan team, shared a story on his Instagram, showing the celebrations and Naib dancing in happiness.

Afghanistan will now play against South Africa in the semi-final on June 27.
