Airtel CEO Gopal Vittal informs customers about high-speed WiFi across 1200 cities

He discusses the network’s plans, emphasizing “offering extra value” to customers.

Airtel CEO Gopal Vittal recently sent a letter to the company’s 495 million+ customers. In the letter, the CEO announced that Airtel now offers high-speed WiFi services across 1200 cities nationwide and highlighted the company’s largest selection of TV shows, movies, and web series with WiFi plans.

In his letter to his 495 million+ customers, Gopal Vittal, CEO of Airtel, spoke about high-speed WiFi in 1200 cities across India. He also claimed in the letter that Airtel now offers the largest selection of movies, web series, and TV shows along with WiFi plans, stating, “We now need high-speed internet at home for smart devices, studying and working.” Though Airtel historically had limited availability, it has worked toward solving the problem and now offers high-speed WiFiavailable in 1200+ cities in India. “This means those who were unable to access high-speed internet will now be able to do so,” he said.

Offering more value to customers.

CEO Gopal Vittal shares his vision for Airtel’s future, stating, “We are committed to offering you even more value: 

1. Offer the largest selection of TV shows, movies and web series, which come included with your WiFi plan. In specific, this content delivered through Airtel WiFi will give you access to 22+ OTTs and 350+ TV channels.

2. In addition, to signal our gratitude to you, every time you choose to add a new Airtel service – Mobile, Content, or WiFi, we will offer extra value over and above your basic plan.”

According to Airtel’s website, its five Airtel WiFi plans offer 22+ OTTs and 350+ TV channels. The plans start at Rs. 699/month, and the speed varies according to the plan.
