The internet, which was eager to see more Bollywood stars in sparkling outfits after the “Jamnagar jamboree” in March, has been particularly disappointed with the latest Ambani pre-wedding bash in Italy. That being said, if Ananya Panday’s recent posts are any indication, the Italian cruise is quite a toned-down celebration.

Ananya Panday shared some gorgeous photos from Rome, one of the cruise’s destinations, on Instagram Stories on Thursday. In one image, a stunning stone bridge across a river or canal is encircled by woods. Ananya is seen in another photo posing for the camera in a street lined with historic buildings while wearing a Chanel slip dress. She is not wearing makeup and her hair is pulled up in an unkempt bun.

The Pre Wedding Cruise

On July 12, in Mumbai, Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant, the daughter of businessman Viren Merchant, will exchange vows. The much awaited nuptials will happen on July 12 at Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai’s famous Jio World Convention Centre. They have planned a lavish celebration on a cruise ship that is travelling from Italy to France before that.

The ship is carrying about eight hundred visitors in addition to six hundred employees and personnel. Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Karan Johar, and other celebrities are among the attendees.

A star-studded guest list from all over the world attended the couple’s pre-wedding celebrations in Jamnagar earlier this year. CEOs, presidents of states, Heads of state, business executives, and Bollywood and Hollywood stars graced the occasion, making it a memorable one.

Ivanka Trump, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, and Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan were among the well-known attendees.

Along with cricket legends Rohit Sharma, MS Dhoni, and Sachin Tendulkar, Indian corporate heavyweights Gautam Adani, Nandan Nilekani, and Adar Poonawala were there. Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, a spiritual guide, brought a sense of peace to the festivities.

Glamour was added to the celebrations by the likes of Madhuri Dixit, Anil Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, and Karan Johar.

The Backstreet Boys Performing For The Guests

While Anant Ambani, the son of Reliance chairman Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant are continuing their pre-wedding celebrations with a private European cruise, a video of the well-known American band Backstreet Boys entertaining the cruise guests in Italy has gone viral on the internet.

A Reddit user posted a video from the Ambani cruise on Thursday. In it, Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, AJ McLean, and Kevin Richardson—all of whom are members of Backstreet Boys—perform their hit song “I Wanna Be With You” in front of a sizable crowd while dressed entirely in white.

A video of the opulent voyage taken during the day was also published on Instagram, with the location of Palermo, Sicily, identified by geotagging. The majority of Bollywood stars and other guests are expected to join the ship from there. The voyage will end on Friday in France, having departed from Italy on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Backstreet Boys is a pop band formed in 1993, best known for their 1996 eponymous album, Backstreet’s Back (1997), Millennium (1999), Black & Blue (2000), Never Gone (2005), Unbreakable (2007), This Is Us (2009), In A World Like This (2013), and DNA (2019). They performed live in India last year– in Mumbai and Delhi.
