Arshad Nadeem, who defeated defending Olympic Indian javelin thrower and former gold medalist Neeraj Chopra at the Paris Olympics 2024, has been garnering a lot of limelight ever since he won the title. It is now reported that Arshad Nadeem has been gifted a new car, and the Olympics champion’s new car also has his record, “92.97,” as the number plate, which is the distance his javelin throw covered.

Gold medalist javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem from Pakistan has accepted the key to the new car with a unique number plate of 92.97, the distance he threw to set a new Olympic record. On Tuesday, the government of Punjab, Pakistan, rewarded him with 10 million rupees and a brand new car for his historic gold medal-winning feat at the now-concluded Paris Olympics 2024.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz of the Punjab government of Pakistan handed over the new car keys to Arshad Nadeem and gave him a cash prize when she visited his village in Mian Chunnu to meet him and his family. She said, “Arshad deserves everything he gets because he has brought so much joy and pride to the nation.” Before flying back to Lahore, the CM also gave a cheque of 50 lakh rupees to Nadeem’s coach Salman Iqbal Butt.
The deputy commissioner who accompanied the CM said the cheque and the car were prepared in record time on the CM’s instructions who wished to meet Arshad Nadeem. He said, “She also gave orders for the special number plate.”
