Delhi faces another bomb threat as hospitals and IGI airport receive an alarming email threat. Stay updated with the latest developments.
Just a few days after schools in Delhi got scary bomb threats, now two hospitals and the IGI airport have also gotten bomb threats in their emails. The police found out that the email was also sent to 8-10 other hospitals, including Bara Hindu Rao Hospital.

“We received a call around 6-6.15 pm about a bomb threat at IGI Airport. Fire tenders have been rushed to the spot,” DFS Chief Atul Garg said.
Delhi Under Threat
The Delhi Fire Service said that some scary emails were sent to Burari Government Hospital, Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, and Dada Dev Hospital in Delhi. They thought there might be bombs in the hospitals, so they sent special teams with dogs to check it out.
After getting the tip, a bunch of bomb experts and firefighters showed up at the scene. The head honcho, DCP (north) Manoj Meena, mentioned that they haven’t found anything fishy so far.
“An email was received at Burari Hospital regarding a bomb threat. Local police, Bomb Disposal Teams (BDT) are at the hospital. Nothing suspicious has been found yet,” Delhi Police said in a statement.
The first call was received by fire officials at 3.15 pm from Burari Hospital and the second call from Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital around 4.26 pm.

Dr SK Kaakraan, Medical Superintendent, Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital said to news agency ANI, “Police and the bomb squad team came here and searched the entire hospital but they did not find anything. We are investigating on our level, police is also investigating…”
Not The First Incident
On May 2, the e-mails were sent to 131 schools in Delhi, five in Gurugram, and three in Noida and Greater Noida. Bit on 5 May, similar threats were received by three schools in Ahmedabad.
After the Delhi schools bomb scare row, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) issued an official statement calling the email a “hoax”. “There is no need to panic. The mail appears to be a hoax. Delhi Police and security agencies are taking necessary steps as per protocol,” the MHA said in an official statement.
