“Chandu Champion” sees swift rise in Box Office numbers

The latest sports biopic by acclaimed director Kabir Khan, starring the heartthrob Kartik Aaryan, sees a jump of over 42% at the BO.

Everyone in the film fraternity and the audiences were eagerly waiting for Kartik Aaryan’s Chandu Champion to be released on the big screens. The sports biopic, filled with motivational drama and an inspirational story weaved beautifully by acclaimed director Kabir Khan, was released across theaters on Friday, June 14th. Since then, all eyes have been on Chandu Champion’s Box Office Collection.

Kartik Aaryan, who hasn’t been able to hit it out of the park with Box Office Numbers since his last hit release, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which was released in 2022, was waiting for Chandu Champion to release and see the magic unweave on the big screens yet again with his power-packed performance, hoping to translate the same into massive numbers at the BO.

Chandu Champion Box Office Collection has now restored faith among Kartik Aaryan’s die-hard fans who wanted to see him win big at the BO. And, if numbers are to go by, one can say nothing can stop Kartik Aaryan, whose Chandu Champion has now seen a massive jump at the BO with 42.11%.

Chandu Champion is a biopic on Murlikant Petkar, India’s first Paralympic Gold Medalist. Though advance bookings and the Day 1 collection opened to rather disappointing numbers, collecting ₹4.75 crore, the positive reviews and incredible word of mouth have now done magic, reflected in the improved BO numbers on Day 2.

Trade analysts had mixed opinions about the film’s success on Day 2, but positive word of mouth helped the biopic film collect a massive ₹6.75 crore, according to rough data. In two days, Chandu Champion has minted ₹11.5 crore.

Media reports initially suggested that the movie was made with a budget of ₹120 crore, including advertising and production costs. However, only time will tell if Chandu Champion will emerge a Champion at the Box Office.
