Deepika reportedly walked out of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit; she was replaced by Triptii Dimri.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga had initially cast Deepika Padukone in his next film, Spirit, alongside Prabhas. However, over the past couple of days, there have been reports that she walked out of the film and was replaced by Triptii Dimri. Spirit has sparked intense speculation, with many reports citing her “unprofessional” demands as the reason behind the ouster.

Deepika Padukone, at the Cartier event, spoke about standing by her decisions.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga had shared a post on X, allegedly directed towards Padukone, claiming she had leaked the plot of the film, put down a younger actor, and ousted his story. However, thus far, Deepika maintained a stoic silence on the matter until she spoke at the Cartier event in Stockholm. On Tuesday, she stepped out for a red-carpet outing and spoke to Vogue Arabia at the event, discussing the philosophy that guides her life.

What did Deepika Padukone say at the Cartier event?

Deepika shared, “I think what keeps me balanced is just being truthful, being authentic. And whenever I am faced with, say, complicated situations or difficult situations, to be able to listen to my inner voice and just make decisions, stand by decisions that really give me peace. That is when I feel most in equilibrium.” A video of the interview has surfaced on the internet, leading her fans to believe she is hinting at the controversy, seemingly addressing it. One user wrote, “She’s hitting the nail on the head here.” Another wrote, “Her words.”

On Deepika’s exit from Spirit, Bollywood Hungama quoted a source as saying, “Sandeep Reddy Vanga got the shock of his life when Deepika Padukone refused to shoot for more than six hours a day for Spirit. That’s not all—the actress, via her agency, also began to demand amendments to the contract. Their main contention was simple: if the shoot extended beyond 100 days, Deepika would need to be paid extra for every single day beyond the agreed schedule.”
