Rahul Dholakia slams Aamir Khan for his commentary during the IPL 2025 finals.

The IPL 2025 finals came to a thrilling end on Tuesday night at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad as Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) beat Punjab Kings (PBKS) to win their maiden IPL title. In the commentary box, superstar Aamir Khan was also present to promote his upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par. He shared the commentary box with Suresh Raina and Aakash Chopra for a 20-minute stint in the Hindi commentary panel for the IPL 2025 final. However, fans had mixed reactions to his commentary. While a few praised his knowledge of the game, others were miffed that he showed bias toward Virat Kohli and RCB. The actor congratulated Kohli for being a “perfectionist”, a tag that audiences often associate with Aamir. But, filmmaker Rahul Dholakia took a jibe at his commentary.

What did Rahul Dholakia tweet on Aamir’s IPL commentary?

The filmmaker took to X and wrote, “Yaar picture ka promotion karo gyaan mat baato (Promote your film but don’t sermonise). I want KOHLI to win this year and Zinta to win next year! Both these passionate people deserve to win- for their sheer persistence!” Although he didn’t name Aamir, the timing of the tweet led netizens to believe it was intended for Aamir Khan.

Fans react to Rahul Dholakia’s tweet on Aamir.

One tweet read, “This is such a cheap shot.” Another wrote, “Gyaan baato, isn’t that what you and SRK did the entire Raees promotions?” The tweet received hundreds of replies, with many roasting Aamir and many others slamming Rahul Dholakia. However, later in the night, the filmmaker deleted his tweet.
