In the commentary box, superstar Aamir Khan was also present to promote his upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par. He shared the commentary box with Suresh Raina and Aakash Chopra for a 20-minute stint in the Hindi commentary panel for the IPL 2025 final. However, fans had mixed reactions to his commentary. While a few praised his knowledge of the game, others were miffed that he showed bias toward Virat Kohli and RCB. The actor congratulated Kohli for being a “perfectionist”, a tag that audiences often associate with Aamir. But, filmmaker Rahul Dholakia took a jibe at his commentary.

Both these passionate people deserve to win- for their sheer persistence!” Although he didn’t name Aamir, the timing of the tweet led netizens to believe it was intended for Aamir Khan.
