The actor, who is currently hospitalized, has given his first statement after the incident. He said he is better now with the blessings of his fans, parents, and God.

Actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda accidently shot himself in the leg with his licensed revolver on the morning of October 1. He has now shared his first message after his hospitalization at Mumbai’s Criti Care Hospital in an audio message, as reported by the news agency PTI. In his message, he thanked the doctor who treated him and thanked his fans for their prayers.

In a Hindi audio message, actor Govinda shared, “Hello, this is Govinda. With the blessings of my fans, my parents, and God, I am doing better now. I was hit by a bullet, which has now been removed. I thank the doctor here, Dr Agarwal ji. I thank all of you for your prayers.” Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde also spoke to Govinda; as quoted by ANI, the CMO said, “Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde had a telephonic conversation with actor Govinda and inquired about his health and wished him a speedy recovery. CM has also instructed the hospital authorities to take best care of Govinda and ensure his speedy recovery.”

How did Govinda shoot at his leg with his revolver?

On Tuesday morning, Govinda was accidentally shot in his leg by his revolver. The incident took place around 4.45 am. A Mumbai police official also confirmed that Govinda is fine and the injury is not serious. Govinda’s manager, Shashi Sinha, told ANI over the phone, “Govinda was getting ready to leave for Kolkata and was putting his licensed revolver back in the cupboard when it slipped from his hand, and the gun went off, hitting him in the leg. The doctor has removed the bullet, and his condition is stable. He is still in the hospital.”

Actor Kashmera Shah visited Govinda in the hospital. When the paparazzi asked her to speak about the incident, she said, “Kuch nahi (Nothing).” Kashmera is the wife of Govinda’s nephew, Krushna Abhishek. No complaint has been lodged in this incident, though police have begun an investigation.
