On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Grameen Bharat Mahotsav 2025 in Delhi. This event will celebrate rural India’s entrepreneurial spirit and will be held on the theme “Building a Resilient Rural India for Viksit Bharat 2047.” The inauguration will be held at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi, where PM Modi will also address the gathering.

On Saturday morning, PM Modi will inaugurate Grameen Bharat Mahotsav 2025 to celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit of rural India and its cultural heritage. The Mahotsav will be held from January 4 to 9, 2025, with the theme “Building a Resilient Rural India for Viksit Bharat 2047.” The Mahotsav, through various workshops, masterclasses and discussions, aims to enhance infrastructure, create self-reliant economies and foster innovation within rural communities. This mega conclave cum exhibition is organised by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development under the aegis of the Department of Financial Services.

What are the objectives of the Grameen Bharat Mahotsav 2025?

The objectives of the Mahotsav include promoting economic stability and financial security among rural populations with a special focus on North-East India by addressing financial inclusion and supporting sustainable agricultural practices. Another significant focus will be empowering rural women through entrepreneurship and bringing together government leaders, thought leaders, artisans, stakeholders, and entrepreneurs from across diverse sectors to build a roadmap for collaborative and collective rural transformation. The focus will also be on encouraging discussions around leveraging technology and innovative practices to enhance rural livelihoods and showcase India’s rich cultural heritage through vibrant performances and exhibitions.
