The passing away of the ‘He-Man’ of Bollywood, the legendary Dharmendra, has left his family, friends, and the film fraternity in sorrow and grief. In her first statement and reaction, the veteran actor’s second wife, HemaMalini, has now shared her emotions through a tribute on social media.
HemaMalini gives his first statement on Dharmendra’s death.
Sharing some intimate family moments, HemaMalini gave tribute to Dharmendra, offering a tender glimpse into their decades-long bond. Dharmendra passed away on November 24 at the age of 89. Until now, no family member of the Deol family had spoken publicly about the loss. But HemaMalini has now broken her silence. She shared a heartfelt tribute on social media and shared several unseen pictures of the two.
What did HemaMalini share in her tribute to Dharmendra?
In her emotional post, HemaMalini wrote, “Dharamji❤️ He was many things to me. Loving Husband, adoring Father of our two girls, Esha&Ahaana, Friend, Philosopher, Guide, Poet, my ‘go to’ person in all times of need — in fact, he was everything to me! And always has been through good times and bad. He endeared himself to all my family members with his easy, friendly ways, always showing affection and interest in all of them. As a public personality, his talent, his humility in spite of his popularity, and his universal appeal set him apart as a unique icon unequalled among all the legends. His enduring fame and achievements in the film industry will last forever. My personal loss is indescribable, and the vacuum created is something that will last through the rest of my life.😢After years of togetherness, I am left with myriad memories to relive the many special moments…” She captioned the post, “Some memorable moments…”, and another, “Togetherness over the years — always there for us. Some special moments.”
A prayer meet for Dharmendra was held today, November 27, at Mumbai’s TajLands End, which was attended by many celebrities.
