As the Wayanad, Kerala landslides have shaken the nation, so has the recent Himachal cloudburst tragedy, in which so far, 50 have died. Vikramaditya Singh, Himachal Pradesh minister, said that around 50 people are feared dead in the areas affected by the cloudbursts. However, he also noted that the number can only be confirmed after an official confirmation and the completion of the search and rescue operation.

Himachal Pradesh has been going through some challenging times as it has been affected by massive cloudbursts, in which, so far, 50 have been feared dead, as per a report. On Saturday, August 3, Himachal Pradesh minister Vikramaditya Singh said that around 50 are feared dead. Still, an official confirmation can only declare the actual number after the search and rescue operation is completed in the affected areas. He said the government’s biggest priority right now is to retrieve the bodies and restore connectivity in the flood-stricken parts of the state.

IMD predicts heavy rainfall in Himachal.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts heavy rainfall in Himachal till August 7. CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announces Rs. 50,000 for all families affected by the flash floods in the state. Apart from Himachal, IMD has issued a red alert for Gujarat, Jharkhand, Assam, West and East Madhya Pradesh, and Meghalaya regions. In Maharashtra, a red alert has been issued today, August 4, in Palghar and Thane districts.
