Himachal Pradesh floods: Kangana Ranaut visits flood-hit areas

MP from Mandi, Lok Sabha, Kangana visited the areas affected by the catastrophic floods destroying the state.

Kangana Ranaut reached several parts of Himachal Pradesh that have suffered disastrous rains and floods, creating havoc in the state. During her visit, she met the locals in the flood-affected areas. The devastating rains and floods claimed lives and created destruction, sweeping away the infrastructure.

Actress and MP from Mandi, Lok Sabha, Kangana Ranaut, visited the flood-affected areas of Himachal Pradesh and documented her visit. On Tuesday, August 6, Kangana visited a few flood-hit regions of her home state, where rescue and relief operations have been undergoing.

She shared pictures on social media.

Kangana Ranaut posted pictures of her visit to her home state on social media, where she met the locals and assessed the work being undertaken in the affected areas. Writing on her Instagram stories with a photo showing the damage, she said, “Today visiting various flood-hit areas in Himachal Pradesh.” Sharing a picture of hugging a woman, she wrote, “People have lost everything… in the vastness of that loss I feel immense pain and grief… our hope is PM Modi.” She shared another photo of herself with local women and wrote, “Humans are so vulnerable before the nature… oh mother earth be kind to us…” She then shared a video of her drive in the state and wrote, “Mountains (are) sometimes so serene, so blissful… at times so terrifying, so volatile. Just like me. I am mountains, and they are me.”

Kangana Ranaut’s absence was questioned earlier.

Himachal Pradesh suffered catastrophic floods and torrential rains, but Kangana Ranaut’s absence during these challenging times in her state was questioned. However, her visit comes after questions were raised about her. The focus remains on recovery and rebuilding efforts in the state, with local authorities pledging relentless support until normalcy is restored. Kangana Ranaut’s involvement has been under discussion amid widespread appeals for help from various quarters. She took to X and said she was advised not to visit the affected areas in the state amid the catastrophic flood.

When asked why she was missing in action amid such tough times, Kangana Ranaut said she was ‘mobilizing support’ for Himachal.
