In a recent post, production house Yash Raj Films announced the release date of their much-anticipated film War 2. Fans who were eagerly waiting to know the release date are now delighted to learn the same and can’t wait to witness it on the big screens.

Production house Yash Raj Films recently announced the release date of War 2, the next instalment in its ambitious Spy Universe. The film, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, is set to release in theatres on August 14, 2025. It is directed by Ayan Mukerji, and as per reports, it will see Jr NTR in a negative role. Yash Raj Films reshared an unofficial promotional asset of the film on its official X page. The banner in the post read, “Must say… you have set it up brilliantly even before we have started our marketing of #War2… there will be mayhem in cinemas on 14 August 2025, worldwide…”

Other projects by Yash Raj Films are in the pipeline.

The YRF Spy Universe was launched in 2012 with Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s Ek Tha Tiger. The success of the film spawned two sequels – Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) and Tiger 3 (2023). War, which also starred Tiger Shroff released in 2019 and was followed by Pathaan (2023), starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. In the banner’s pipeline are Pathaan 2 with Shah Rukh Khan, Tiger vs Pathaan, starring Salman and SRK and also Alpha, the first female-led YRF Spy Universe film featuring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari.
