India fans who were still fuming out of the disappointing series lost against New Zealand at home had a few reactions to give on social media after India’s first order had a poor start on the first day in Perth. This promoted several social media users to create and share memes about the dismissal of Jaiswal and Padikkal. One social media user shared a meme of two guys exchanging looks at each other funnily, captioning it “Dressing Room scenario.” Another wrote, “Longest ducks by Indian No.3s (balls faced): 25 Sanjay Manjrekar, Durban 1991-92 23 Devdutt Padikkal, Perth 2024-25.” One social media user shared a meme image of Sachin Tendulkar feeding ducks with faces of Jaiswal and Padikkal near a pond. Cut them some slack. Hopefully, team management has not asked Padikkal to bat in the manner he batted today. Blocking your way against this relentless Australian attack is strategy made with high hopes. #AUSvsIND”
