Umpires had to take players off the field as flying ants and insects disrupted the play.

All eyes are on the ongoing India vs South Africa T20 series. However, the play on Wednesday was disrupted by flying ants and insects. The IND vs SA 3td T20I had to be stopped due to these insects and ants, so much so that umpires had to take players off the field.

After noticing that the ant attack was too much to handle, the umpires asked the players to leave the field in India vs. South Africa 3rd T20I. The digital board with a sign at the SuperSport Park in Centurion during the third T20 international cricket match between South Africa and India read, “Update: Play suspended due to flying ants interfering with play.”

On Wednesday, India vs South Africa 3rd T20I was halted due to flying ants and insects at the SuperSport Park in Centurion during the third T20 international cricket match. After the first over of the South African innings, the play had to be stopped when flying ants caused havoc. Pacer Arshdeep Singh was seen battling the insects; Hardik Pandya was also disturbed when he was about to bowl his first over of the match.

The umpires felt this was too much and asked the players to leave the field. The ground staff used vacuum cleaners to blow the ants away. The player, however, returned to the field after 19 minutes.
