Indian 2 gets a UA certificate but with several changes.

Kamal Haasan’s much-awaited film Indian 2 will be released on July 12. The CBFC has already given it a UA certificate. However, the filmmakers had to implement several changes for it to receive a UA certificate. To secure the certification, the CBFC ordered them to blur body exposure, replace seven words, and make other modifications.

What changes did CBFC order the filmmakers of Indian 2?

Several changes were ordered, including replacing seven Tamil and English expletives. Additionally, CBFC mandated five other modifications like increasing the size of static smoking disclaimers and ensuring the text is in bold black on a white background, removing the label “Bribe market,” blurring the body exposure in a particular scene, and replacing words like “Indian,” “Dirty Indian,” “F**k,” in certain scenes. The makers were also required to provide an NOC for using copyrighted content, which they have done already.

Indian 2 will be a sequel to the 1996 film Indian, directed by Shankar. The film’s budget is substantial, with Kamal Haasan reportedly demanding a remuneration of INR 150 crore. The stellar cast includes him, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Siddharth, Gulshan Grover, Bobby Simha, and Jason Lambert in prominent roles.
