The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to pay special tribute to the Indian Armed Forces at the IPL 2025 closing ceremony. The event will be dedicated to the Indian Armed Forces during the closing ceremony of IPL 2025, which will be held on June 3 at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

After the successful Operation Sindoor, the BCCI took the decision to pay tribute to the Indian Armed Forces during the closing ceremony of IPL 2025 on June 3 at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Operation Sindoor saw the Indian Armed Forces destroying several terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Devajit Saikia, the BCCI secretary, confirmed to Hindustan Times that the closing ceremony will indeed be a tribute to the forces, saying, “Yes, the IPL 2025 closing ceremony will honour the Indian Armed Forces.”
Tribute is to honour the efforts under Operation Sindoor.
Sources close to developments told Hindustan Times, “We are grateful for the constant bravery, courage and service of our armed forces. We want to give a special tribute to honour their efforts under Operation Sindoor. The IPL 2025 closing ceremony will be a tribute to the Armed Forces. We have already sent invitations to the Chief of Defence Staff, the Chief of Army Staff, the Chief of Navy Staff and the Chief of Air Staff.”
IPL 2025 closing ceremony will likely feature a performance by the military bands. The BCCI is also expected to bring a few prominent singers for a musical evening ahead of the IPL 2025 grand finale.
