As per a report, 15 people are injured in the massive blast at an ordinance factory in Jabalpur, with their condition being critical.
It is said that as many as 15 individuals were injured after an explosion occurred at Jabalpur’s Ordinance Factory, with their condition being critical. The injured were rushed to the hospital on Tuesday when a blast happened in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur. The incident took place in the Central Security Institute Ordnance Factory in Khamaria, where explosives and bombs are manufactured.

On Tuesday, several injured people were rushed to the hospital after getting injured seriously in a blast that occurred at the Central Security Institute Ordnance Factory in Khamaria in Jabalpur, where bombs and explosives are manufactured. At least two people are in critical condition due to injuries, said officials. Two injured were taken to a nearby private hospital for urgent treatment after sustaining serious injuries. As per PTI, the blast reportedly occurred in the factory refilling section.
One worker has been missing since the blast.
While two were rushed to the hospital, one worker since the blast is missing and is possibly trapped under the debris of the section in which the explosion took place, said officials to PTI. Fire brigade and ambulances immediately reached the spot, and relief operations are underway.
How did the blast occur?
A hydraulic system malfunctioned in building 200 of the factory’s F-6 section during the bomb-filling process, reported NDTV. The blast was so powerful that it was heard even in localities as far as 5 km. Residents in a nearby locality said that the blast’s impact caused an earthquake in the area. A part of the building also collapsed due to the blast’s impact, leaving multiple workers injured. Live Hindustan reported that two among the 15 injured have succumbed to their injuries. However, the deaths haven’t been yet confirmed by the factory administration. A probe has been ordered into the incident.
