Kartik Aaryan speaks about being a workaholic and being “burnt out” due to it

Actor Kartik Aaryan, awaiting the release of his next film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 this Diwali, speaks about his personal life, how he is a workaholic, and how he feels a “bit burnt out with this.” He recently spoke to Indian Express and said that he is in a race with no finish line.

Kartik Aaryan puts light on his career and his workaholic nature.

Speaking to Indian Express, the Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 actor said he only thought of getting his first film when he didn’t have work but did not enjoy that moment. He made his debut in 2011 with the hit Luv Ranjan film Pyaar Ka Punchnama. He said, “I just went for it, the film released, then the second film didn’t work and then Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety revived my career, almost like a re-launch. Success, failures, everything kept happening. Even till today, I haven’t gotten the chance to relax and think, I’ve come this far…I haven’t had the chance to sit back and reflect because I am in a race with no finish line.”

Kartik Aaryan explains why he didn’t enjoy his first break.

Speaking about why he didn’t enjoy his first break, he said, “I don’t think I am able to give myself that personal time, because I am always thinking about work, the way forward, what have I not done, what went wrong, what is right. I have been in that space for the longest time. I think I need time for myself also; I am getting a bit burnt out with this — just constantly been working. But the thing is, I don’t know anything else but work. I’ve tried that, but it doesn’t work for me. I am a workaholic x 100.”

“Enjoyed when someone for the first time asked for a selfie.”

He said that he enjoyed it when, for the first time, a fan recognized him and asked for a selfie. He recalls how he would walk into a mall “deliberately so that people recognise me,” saying, “This is also work for me, it is no vanity at all.”

Kartik Aaryan will star in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which will be released in theatres on November 1. It will also star Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, and Triptii Dimri.
