MS Dhoni’s parents were spotted watching the CSK vs DC match at Chepauk.
Parents of MS Dhoni were spotted watching the CSK vs DC match at Chepauk on Saturday. However, after CSK lost to DC, fans lashed out at CSK for putting up a poor performance when Dhoni’s parents, Pan Singh Dhoni and Devaki Devi, were in attendance to watch their legendary son and cricketer play. It was the first time that his parents went to the stadium to watch a match. Dhoni’s daughter Ziva was also seen watching the match with her grandparents. Dhoni came to bat at no. 7 after Kuldeep Yadav trapped Ravindra Jadeja plumb in front. With CSK needing 110 runs off 56 balls, the onus was on Dhoni and Vijay Shankar to lead the team to win the game. But, the duo couldn’t succeed at the right time and finished at 158, losing by 25 runs.
Fans are not happy with CSK.
One fan wrote, “CSK team needs to specifically apologise to Dhoni’s parents for calling them and showing them this sh*thousery.” Another wrote, “Vijay Shankar and Dhoni. Tuk tuk legends of the game do it again.” A third user wrote, “Tears man they called Dhoni’s parents to embarrass their son right in front of their eyes.” One more commented, “Dhoni came to bat being aware that his parents are in stadium yet he didn’t try to win. There is no intent to win.”
