The bookings for concerts of Coldplay, a Grammy-winning band to be held in Mumbai, began on Sunday. However, the ticketing site BookMyShow crashed as soon as the ticket selling went live. Even after getting the site restored, there was a long queue. Hence, BookMyShow has now added a new show of the band—the prices of the concert range from Rs. 2500 to Rs. 35,000.

There was a huge rush of fans to buy tickets for Coldplay’s concert on BookMyShow. Hence, the ticketing site added a new January 21, 2025 date. Taking to Instagram, BookMyShow shared the news with an updated poster and wrote, “A NEW SHOW HAS BEEN ADDED FOR 21 JAN 2025!! 1. Head on to the event page on #BookMyShow and hit the ‘Book Now’ button at 1.30 PM IST. 2. You will be added to the waiting room. 3. You will be assigned a queue number at 2 PM IST. 4. Ticket sales go live at 2 PM IST sharp.”

Coldplay recently confirmed they will bring their celebrated Music of the Spheres World Tour to Mumbai. Since then, fans can’t contain their excitement and await Coldplay’s return since their last visit in 2016. Reacting to the crash that BookMyShow faced due to high ticket demands, a person said, “#BookMyShow is down.. hey I don’t want cold play; I Just need a movie ticket. Do it ASAP.” A fan said, “Bookmyshow crashed. What a time to crash!” A user on X wrote, “Never understood why on earth #BookMyShow is chosen as the ticketing partner for bookings.
