PM Modi speaks about the terror attack in Pahalgam on Mann Ki Baat.
On Sunday, PM Modi, on his Mann Ki Baat radio show, touched upon the reprehensible terror attack in Pahalgam that took place on April 22 and which claimed the lives of 26 civilians, mostly tourists, injuring many others. He said that the attack showed the terrorists wanted to destroy the Union territory. He stated, “The terror attack in Pahalgam reflects the frustration of those who patronize terrorism; it shows their cowardice. At a time when peace was returning to Kashmir, schools and colleges were vibrant; democracy was getting strengthened, there was a rise in tourism, and new opportunities were being generated for the youth, but the enemies of Jammu and Kashmir and the country did not like this. Terrorists want to destroy Kashmir once again.”
PM Modi assured that Pahalgam attack victims will get justice.
He added, “I once again assure the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack that they will get justice. The April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam has left every citizen heartbroken. Every Indian feels deep sympathy for the families of the victims.” He said he understands that every citizen of India is seething with anger because of the attack. He called the people of the country to strengthen “our resolve to face the challenge” of terrorism.
Over the past few days, India has imposed stringent measures on Pakistan, including curtailing diplomatic staff and suspending the Indus Waters Treaty. PM Modi has vowed that India will hunt down those behind the dastardly attack.
