PM Modi warns perpetrators in the Pahalgam terror attack

Prime Minister Narendra Modi vows to pursue terrorists and their backers relentlessly, issuing a stern warning to the attack’s perpetrators.

On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke during the National Panchayati Raj Day programme in Madhubani district, Bihar. He issued a stern warning to the perpetrators of the Pahalgam terror attack and declared that India would relentlessly pursue every terrorist and their backers.

Speaking from Bihar, PM Modi said that the nation stands united in its resolve to ensure justice is delivered. He said in a strongly-worded statement, two days after the heinous terror attack on innocent tourists in Pahalgam, “Today, on the soil of Bihar, I say to the whole world — India will identify, trace, and punish every terrorist and their backers. We will pursue them to the ends of the Earth.” The attack has claimed 26 lives, including tourists and security personnel.

PM Modi said that the spirit of India cannot be broken.

He emphasized during his speech that the spirit of India cannot be broken by terrorism. He said, “Terrorism will not go unpunished. Every effort will be made to ensure justice is done. The entire nation is one in this resolve.”

He also observed a moment of silence to pay tribute to those who were killed in the terrorist attack. He added, “Let us all stand together in this moment of grief and observe a one-minute silence. I urge everyone to observe silence for a couple of minutes to pay homage to the family members whom we lost in the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22,” and concluded by chanting “Om Shanti.”
