At the Maha Kumbh 2025, the honourable President of India took a holy dip at the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati.

The Maha Kumbh at Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, began in January and will conclude on February 26, Mahashivratri. In recent news, the honourable President of India, Droupadi Murmu, also took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati.

On Monday, President Droupadi Murmu took a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj. She was clad in a white saree, and after taking the holy dip, she offered prayers while standing in the Sangam. Later, she also performed the Ganga Aarti and the Pooja. The grand Maha Kumbh Mela, which started on January 13, is the world’s largest spiritual and cultural gathering, attracting devotees from across the nation and the world. The festival will conclude on February 26, 2025, on the occasion of Mahashivratri.

Accompanying the President were UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel. Earlier, the Rashtrapati Bhavan issued a statement saying that after the holy dip, President Murmu would take a darshan at Akshayavat and Hanuman Mandir. The statement added, “She will also visit the Digital Kumbh Anubhav Centre.”

Notably, the first President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, also took a holy dip during the Maha Kumbh Mela.
