Amidst this, several celebrities have come forward to show their support and participate in relief initiatives. Shah Rukh Khan too came forward to lend support to flood-affected victims in Punjab.

The superstar has expressed deep concern and solidarity with the people of Punjab as the state continues to grapple with massive flooding and its impact. In a heartfelt message shared on social media, SRK offered his prayers and support to those affected. He wrote in a note and posted it on his Instagram Story, “My heart goes out to those in Punjab impacted by these devastating floods. Sending prayers and strength. The spirit of Punjab shall never break. May God bless them all.”

Several Bollywood stars extended their support to flood-affected victims in Punjab. Some of the celebs include Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Sunny Deol, Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty, BhumiPednekar and others. SonuSood launched a helpline and promised full assistance. DiljitDosanjh adopted ten villages, and Ammy Virk pledged to rebuild 200 homes. SonamBajwa, Gippy Grewal, SatinderSartaaj and Karan Aujla joined in relief efforts.

According to a news report by Hindustan Times, Punjab is facing its worst floods in nearly 40 years, with 29 deaths reported across 12 districts. Massive rainfall in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir caused rivers, including the Ravi, Beas, and Sutlej, to overflow.
