Report suggests that Ranbir Kapoor has replaced Ranveer Singh in ‘BaijuBawra’

There has been a lot of buzz recently surrounding Sanjay LeelaBhansali’s long-awaited film, BaijuBawra, which initially had Ranveer Singh play the lead. However, recent reports suggest that Ranbir Kapoor has replaced Ranveer in the SLB film.

Ranbir Kapoor has been finalised for Sanjay LeelaBhansali’s long-awaited musical romance, BaijuBawra, a role that was initially meant for Ranveer Singh. The news came as a birthday surprise for Ranbir, who turned 43 on Sunday. According to a report in the Deccan Chronicle, Sanjay has finalised Ranbir for the project, which is expected to go on the floors next year.

A source was quoted as saying, “SLB’s team has already begun pre-production work. Ranbir, a huge admirer of vintage music, starts his mornings with classics from the 1950s, including songs from the original BaijuBawra released in 1952. He’s even introducing his daughter Raha to this timeless music.” The film was initially planned with Ranveer in the lead. Reports also claimed that Ranveer had already begun preparing for the role before Sanjay decided to focus on Love & War, which stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, as well as other projects.

Over the years, there have been several speculations about the casting of BaijuBawra, with some even suggesting Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt as leads. However, a final cast was never officially announced. Reportedly, Sanjay has been working on BaijuBawra’s script for over two decades.
