Reports suggest Allu Arjun starrer “Pushpa 2” to be released in December 2024

Reports are rife that Pushpa 2: The Rule, initially set for Independence Day release, is delayed due to incomplete shooting.

Right from the time Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna won hearts with Pushpa: The Rise in 2021 while the world grappled with a pandemic, audiences and all their fans since then have been waiting to catch their fire chemistry once again on the big screen as Pushpa Raj and Srivalli with their upcoming Pushpa 2: The Rule.

Is Pushpa 2 aiming for a December 2024 release?

Initially, the much-talked-about and awaited film was set to release on 15th August, Independence Day, but reports now suggest that due to the impending shooting of some portions of the film, the movie might get a new release date this December.

Clash with Aamir Khan’s “Sitaare Zameen Par.”

If the reports of Pushpa 2 getting delayed are true, we might see the clash of two big films, as it will be released alongside Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par. It was also reported that the date in December, which was already first locked by Aamir Khan, was also locked by Akshay Kumar for his film Welcome to the Jungle. However, Kumar bowed down to change the date and avoid the clash.

Singham Again is also to be released later this year.

Rohit Shetty’s cop universe film Singham Again was slated to be released on Independence Day, but since the film still had a few portions to be shot, it gave a freeway for Pushpa 2 to release on the national holiday.

Incomplete shooting leads to film release delays.

The team of Pushpa 2 is said to be leaving the spot for the 15th August release, so other films will have more chances to win big at the Box Office, like John Abraham starrer Vedaa, Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Stree 2. The team of Pushpa 2 is already eyeing the Christmas 2024 weekend for release.

It would be interesting to see if Pushpa 2 clashes with films set to release on the 15th August weekend or with films in December 2024.
