Actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed at his home in Bandra with serious wounds in the wee hours on Thursday; he underwent procedures at Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital.
In a shocking incident that came to light on Thursday morning, actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked by a burglar at his Bandra home in Mumbai. The man stabbed the actor multiple times, leaving six wounds on his body, out of which two were reportedly quite serious, for which the actor underwent surgeries at Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital.
The suspect in Saif Ali Khan’s stabbing case was caught on camera.
The only CCTV footage available shows the suspect caught on camera using the staircase of the high-rise building and reportedly entering Saif Ali Khan’s bedroom through the room’s duct area. The suspect is seen staring right into a CCTV camera while coming down the staircase, but no footage was found of the suspect going upstairs.
Saif Ali Khan was repeatedly stabbed with a knife.
The actor was repeatedly stabbed with a knife by the intruder inside his 12th-floor apartment in upscale Bandra early. Saif, 54, was “out of danger” following emergency surgery, said the doctors at the Lilavati Hospital, where he was rushed after the attack that took place around 2.30 am. His domestic help first raised an alarm as the intruder gained entry into the apartment. She also sustained a minor injury to her hand during the scuffle. A fight between Khan and the intruder ensued as the former came out after hearing the woman’s cries for help.
As per the preliminary probe, the intruder didn’t force his entry or break into the actor’s house but possibly sneaked in at some point during the night. Meanwhile, Devendra Fadnavis, Maharashtra Chief Minister, said that despite the incident, Mumbai is a safe city. He said, “I think Mumbai is the safest among mega cities in the country. It is true that some incidents take place sometimes, and they must be taken seriously. But to say that Mumbai is unsafe due to such incidents is not right. But, to make the city safer, the government will certainly make efforts.”
