Here we welcome yet another new Bollywood jodi on the screens. Actors Sara Ali Khan And Ayushmann Khurrana are all set to unite for an action-comedy project. This is written And Directed  by  Aakash Kaushik. The duo has already started shooting for the film.

Ayushmann’s First Dharma Movie

Clearing the buzz around the project, trade expert Taran Adarsh confirmed the news through a post on X (formerly known as Twitter). The project, which is yet to be named, is backed by Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment. Also, the Dharma project would be the first for Ayushmann Khurana, the actor would be debuting with Dharma Productions.  

The social media post read, “AYUSHMANN – SARA ALI KHAN TO STAR IN DHARMA – SIKHYA’S ACTION-COMEDY”.

“Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment reunite, this time for an action-comedy headlined by #AyushmannKhurrana and #SaraAliKhan. Written and directed by Aakash Kaushik… This is Dharma and Sikhya’s third theatrical collaboration… Shooting has begun… Title will be announced soon,” added the post.

Although more information is yet to be revealed, yet the project is said to be a ‘full-fledged commercial entertainer’ . It will come with lots of laughter, thrill and action.

Ayushmann was last seen in Raaj Shaandilya’s comedy drama Dream Girl 2, which also starred Ananya Pandey. The film did well at the box office with over 100 Crore in collection. The film was released on August 25, 2023. It also featured Manjot Singh, Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal, Asrani, Manoj Joshi, Seema Pahwa and Vijay Raaz.

Dream Girl 2 was a  spiritual sequel to 2019 film Dream Girl. The story revolved around a man who cross-dresses and disguises as a woman which leads to chaos and confusion.

It was a commercial success, garnering 140 crore worldwide, arising as the 11^th highest grossing Hindi film of 2023.

While Sara Ali Khan’s latest projects being Murder Mubarak and Ae Watan Mere Watan. While the former is Homi Adjania’s Murder mystery hit, the latter is a patriotic film based on India’s Freedom struggle.

Murder Mubarak is a mystery thriller film based on the novel Club You To Death written by Anuja Chauhan. It was released by Netflix on 15 March 2024 to mixed to negative reviews from critics.  

Ae Watan… was released on Amazon Prime video and garnered mixed reviews from the critics. Sara Ali Khan played the role of Usha Mehta, a brave young girl who starts an underground radio station to spread the message of unity, which sets off a thrilling chase with the British authorities during Quit India Movement.

Sara will be seen in Life in a Metro sequel Metro..In Dino along side Aditya Roy Kapur, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh.

As the report has it, Sara Ali Khan was seen with Aditya Roy Kapoor on Boney Kapoor’s birthday bash after the latter broke up with Ananya Pandey. They spent  quite a good time together as was seen in the pics. Although, the couple has not spoken about the breakup openly, a source close to them said they are giving each other enough space to move on.
