Contrary to speculations online of Ranveer leaving Don 3 for not doing back-to-back gangster films, fresh updates say a different story.
There have been a lot of reports about Ranveer Singh starring in Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3, with shooting set to start early next year. Then, there were reports about him leaving the film because he didn’t want to do back-to-back gangster films after his blockbuster Dhurandhar. Now, fresh updates say a different story.
Ranveer Singh’s oust from the film Don 3.
Fresh updates on the film suggest that Ranveer Singh’s reported exit from Farhan Akhtar’s directorial, Don 3, has little to do with box-office success, remuneration, or his decision of not doing another gangster film as of now after the success of Dhurandhar, but everything to do with creative differences.
A source reveals a different take on the actor’s exit from the film.
Speaking with India Today recently, a source clarified the context behind casting. The source said, “It’s actually an entirely different story. To start with, RiteshSidhwani and Farhan Akhtar offered him Don 3 after he had delivered three colossal flops. They stood by him even after Sanjay LeelaBhansali shelved BaijuBawra because he was considered not saleable at the time.” The source added, “Don 3 is the hottest franchise, and Ranveer was stepping into the legendary shoes of not just Shah Rukh Khan, but also Amitabh Bachchan. It is a dream role for any actor.” The source further stressed that Farhan Akhtar’s faith in Ranveer came well before Dhurandhar released. “Farhan was the only filmmaker who put his trust in Ranveer when others had backed out. This was also at a time when Dhurandhar hadn’t even released.” The report claims that Ranveer’s exit allegedly stemmed from creative differences, with disagreements over certain demands.
Don 3, earlier, had seen casting shifts. Earlier, Kiara Advani reported exiting the project following her pregnancy and the birth of her child, after which KritiSanon was said to have come on board.
