A video has been trending on the internet recently involving influencers from Rajasthan handing out beer bottles to commuters on a busy street in Jaipur. The viral video features influencer Sachin Singh, also known as Lappu Sachin, along with six others distributing beer to commuters on Nirjala Ekadashi, a holy Hindu fasting day, which has drawn massive flak from netizens.

Seven of them were arrested later for distributing liquor after a viral video outraged the public. The video featured the influencer and six others: Pradeep Kadwasra, Vikas Sharma, Abhishek Nirmal, Sunil Kumar, Aditya Mahariya, and Ankit Sharma. In one scene, the auto-rickshaw driver was reportedly forced to drink before he drove away. The video went viral after an X user warned Jaipur Police, writing, “These boys are stopping people and making them drink and drive. Fine them and give them a taste of jail’s drink.”

The clip that has gone viral on the internet had netizens slam the influencer and his gang. One user wrote, “Aryabhatta invented zero after seeing their IQ.” Another wrote, “This is getting out of hand.” One account commented, “Reels are ruining respect.”

The influencers are being detained, with additional interrogations being conducted to determine if any other offences have been committed. Under interrogation, the influencers stated they intended to attract social media followers without intending to offend.
