Man falls after his bike goes riderless, circling around ‘Maut ka kuan.’
A dramatic incident took place recently at the Sawan fair in Maharajganj’s Panchmukhi Shiva Temple, leaving visitors stunned, after a stunt went horribly wrong inside the infamous ‘Well of Death’ (Maut Ka Kuan). The performer lost control and was thrown off his motorcycle mid-act. The bike, however, didn’t stop; it kept circling around the Maut ka kuan. The bizarre showed how the bike kept circling the cylindrical structure on its own for nearly an hour, drawing gasps from the crowd. A video of the same has now gone viral, capturing the riderless bike racing along the vertical walls while spectators watched in disbelief. The post was captioned, “Stunt turned risky as biker falls mid-performance at Panchmukhi Mela in Uttar Pradesh.”

More on Maut ka kuan.
Maut ka kuan is often referred to as the “Well of Death” or “Wall of Death.” It is a high-octane stunt show commonly seen at traditional fairs and carnivals. The Maut ka kuan involves performers on motorcycles and occasionally in cars, speeding around the inner walls of a giant vertical cylinder.
Officials have shut down the Well of Death and issued strict safety instructions for the remaining rides at the fair.
