A profoundly moving moment happened in Madhya Pradesh’s Mandsaur district, where a man in tears danced to honour a promise he made to his best friend, leaving the entire village emotional. Ambalal Prajapat was seen dancing at his dearest friend Sohanlal Jain’s funeral. He swayed to dhol beats and fulfilled a promise he made to his friend. Back in 2021, Sohanlal, who was then battling cancer, had penned a handwritten letter to Ambalal. In the letter, he made a request, “No crying, no silence, only celebration. When I am no longer in this world, you must join my funeral procession and bid me farewell by dancing and singing to the beat of drums.” After Sohanlal’s death recently, and as the procession made its way through the village, Ambalal kept his word. He danced in front of the bier, joined by the beats of the dhol, just as Sohanlal had wanted.
