More details about the incident.

The incident occurred on August 29, when Sangeeta asked her husband Shivam to bring her samosas. Shivam claimed he lost his money on the way and returned empty-handed, angering his wife. She refused dinner and called her relatives, who allegedly assaulted him and his mother. Matters escalated at the panchayat convened at the home of former Pradhan Awadhesh Sharma, where Shivam alleged his in-laws attacked his family with belts, leaving several injured. The video was quickly shared on social media platforms, which sparked online chatter.

Shivam told India Today, “My wife asked me to bring samosas, but I couldn’t. A panchayat was held, but instead of resolving the matter, her family members beat me and my family. We have lodged a police complaint.” His mother added that the assault was triggered by her daughter-in-law refusing food over the missing snacks.
